The Ambassador and the First Secretary graciously took time out of their busy schedule to meet up with the students. The meeting was held on the 1st of April 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Mramornii Zal in the Main Corpus of the University.

In the meeting the Ambassador discussed several issues that were raised by the students and promised to convey the students' concern to the university officials.

Among the issues raised were matters concerning the certification of documents, the summer practicals, insurance, the hostel problems and others. Details of the matters can be obtained from the students' respective batch representatives.

The Ambassador also informed the students of the latest details of the Moscow bombings and the condition of the three Malaysian students injured during the attacks. He urged the students to be careful and always have the necessary documents whenever they're traveling. These documents are: your passport, immigration card, registration slip, student card and the insurance certificate.

These documents are also needed when students require medical attention from polyclinics and hospitals. If the students wish to go to a different medical facility other than the Family Medicine clinic on Kim Street, they are required to inform Mr Denis Kovrizhnikh [89033721979].

The issue with the summer practical was also clarified. Students are required to complete the summer practicals in Volgograd according to the University's requirement but they are also not prohibited from doing extra practicals in Malaysia if they have the necessary documents and the hospitals are willing to take them.

Other than that, the Ambassador requested that everyone with problems or expecting problems with the certification of their documents to report it as soon as possible. Those concerned should give their names and details of their respective cases to their batch representatives. Students from the First Year to the Fourth with these problems are required to fill in this form: here.

On the 2nd of April 2010, the Ambassador and the First Secretary visited the hostels on Kim and Hiroshima streets. They were accompanied by university officials.

The Malaysian student body of Volgograd State Medical University would like to express our gratitude to Dato' Mohamad Khalis and En Wan Azizam bin Wan Salleh for taking the time out of their busy schedule to meet up with the students and address the students' problems.
